A total of 430 million soums were stolen from the ATMs of the Andijan branch of "Xalq Banki", the regional prosecutor's office reports.
Investigative Department under the Andijan Regional Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) launched a criminal investigation into the matters under Article 167, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code.
Regional IAU is conducting a preliminary investigation into the case at the moment.
Daryo.uz has previously reported about 3.8 billion soums stolen in the Xovos branch of "Xalq Banki". In response to the news, bank officials released a statement on the official Telegram channel of the Syrdarya regional government, where they urged journalists not to create a one-sided opinion in the public.
