Aliya Nazarbayeva, daughter of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, faced a setback in court as Kazakh businessmen won a defamation case against her, as reported by KazTAG.
Nazarbayeva had filed a defamation lawsuit against businessmen Nurlan Bimurzin and Medgat Kaliyev through her legal representatives.
In February, Bimurzin and Kaliyev had lodged a complaint with the General Prosecutor's Office, alleging that Nazarbayeva was involved in a raid against them.
Expressing gratitude to those who supported them, Bimurzin acknowledged the impartiality of the judicial system in delivering a fair verdict, despite the prominence of the individuals involved. He highlighted their initial skepticism given the prolonged process, expressing confidence in the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan to uphold the law impartially.
Detailing the events, Bimurzin recounted that on February 28, he and his partner Kaliyev were subjected to a raid by Nazarbayeva and Rogova.
