Kazakhstan's efforts to enhance its flight network saw notable progress, with 567 foreign flights operating weekly on 121 routes to 28 countries. The country continues to strengthen its aviation ties globally, signing agreements to broaden destinations and flight frequencies. Recently, Kazakhstan and Egypt's aviation authorities agreed to increase permitted flights between the countries from 14 to 48 per week.
Additionally, the number of permitted destinations was raised from two to three for each side. This agreement is poised to bolster connectivity and facilitate smoother travel between the two nations.
Uzbekistan Airways is set to introduce new flights between Almaty and Nukus, starting on June 1. The service will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft with 174 seats.
Minister of Tourism and Sports Yermek Marzhikpayev highlighted the importance of establishing direct flights and simplifying visa procedures during a meeting with Ambassador of Jordan to Kazakhstan Hamza Mahmoud Yousef Al-Omari. Last year, Kazakhstan welcomed 1,130 tourists from Jordan, underscoring the potential for increased travel between the two countries.
