President Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives credentials from five ambassadors in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan welcomed the newly appointed foreign ambassadors to the country, as they presented their credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in a dignified ceremony held on May 7,  presidential press service informed.

During the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev received letters of credence from Ambassador József Rózsa of Hungary, Ambassador Muhammadali Iskandari of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ambassador Lubomir Frebort of the Czech Republic, Ambassador Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi of the Sultanate of Oman, and Ambassador Mohamed Irki of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

In his address to the newly appointed ambassadors, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the pivotal role of diplomats in nurturing closer relations between Uzbekistan and their respective countries. He emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and collaboration, especially amid global geopolitical and economic challenges.

"Today's Uzbekistan is a peace-loving and just social state that is opening up to the world and consistently developing long-term and comprehensive relations with its foreign partners," stated President Mirziyoyev, reflecting on Uzbekistan's strategic foreign policy objectives outlined in the "Uzbekistan - 2030" strategy.

The President emphasized the significant progress achieved in Uzbekistan's economy in recent years, with doubled economic growth and increasing investment and trade volumes. He lauded the successful outcomes of the third Tashkent investment forum and the Council of Foreign Investors meeting, which witnessed participation from representatives of 93 countries.

Addressing specific bilateral relations, President Mirziyoyev commended the deepening strategic partnership with Hungary, the historic ties with Iran, the growing collaboration with the Czech Republic, the strong cultural bonds with Oman, and the promising partnership with Algeria.

Reflecting on individual partnerships, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the expansion of trade and joint ventures with Hungary, the increasing bilateral trade with Iran, the burgeoning collaboration in various sectors with the Czech Republic, the potential for cooperation in agriculture, transport, and tourism with Oman, and the prospects for mutual investment projects with Algeria.

In conclusion, President Mirziyoyev expressed his best wishes to the ambassadors for their successful tenure and encouraged them to explore Uzbekistan's diverse regions to strengthen bilateral cooperation further.

In response, the ambassadors expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and affirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and their respective countries.
