As part of the "Offshore Outsourcing Tour 2024," a step toward technological advancement and economic development has been taken with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between IT Park and "NUWA Robotics," IT Park reported. The memorandum, signed by Executive Director Abdulahad Kuchkarov representing IT Park and Director Hung Jui-Jen representing NUWA Robotics, marks the beginning of a promising collaboration.
The agreement outlines mutual cooperation in the fields of information technology, robotics, and outsourcing within Uzbekistan. A key component of this collaboration is the establishment of NUWA Robotics' branch office within the country, along with the acquisition of resident status within IT Park.
NUWA Robotics, founded in 2016 in China, has quickly risen to prominence in the global robotics market. Specializing in the development of robots capable of deep human interaction, the company excels in artificial intelligence, software and hardware development, manufacturing, and UX design of robots.

In January, IT Park welcomed 75 new companies into its resident community, followed by an even more accelerated growth rate in February, with 134 additional companies joining. This surge pushed the total number of resident companies to 1,828 by the end of February 2024. Educational institutions led the influx of new residents, totaling 49, highlighting the increasing demand for IT training and skill enhancement. Software development companies (29) and service providers (28) followed closely behind, indicating a growing interest in high-quality IT services within Uzbekistan.
The consistent presence of business process outsourcing (BPO) companies among the new residents underscores IT Park's attractiveness as a hub for various IT activities. Among the new residents, 49 companies showed an orientation towards export, while 24 featured foreign capital involvement. This diversity is evident in the geographical distribution of foreign companies, with representatives from countries such as Russia, the United States, South Korea, Germany, the United Kingdom, India, Cyprus, Egypt, Pakistan, and Tajikistan.
