In 2023, Kapitalbank's net profit surged by 77%, while the loan portfolio expanded by 80%. The bank also enhanced the quality of its loan portfolio, reducing the share of problem loans to 1.65%. The bank’s net profit for 2023 was UZS 1.6 trillion (nearly $128 mn), and its loan portfolio amounted to UZS 29.7 trillion ($2.3 bn). The total deposits from individuals and legal entities reached UZS 33.6 trillion ($2.7 bn). Kapitalbank’s return on equity was 50.8%, an increase from 49.3% in 2022.
Kapitalbank earned the trust of more than 1.9 mn residents and 64,000 businesses, who rely on the bank for their financial well-being and business growth. The volume of deposits from individuals and legal entities grew by 34% over the past year.
Kirill Mayevsky, Chairman of the Management Board of Kapitalbank, stated that the bank set several records in the past year, both personally and within the country’s banking sector. The bank is committed to maintaining the stability of key financial indicators and remaining a reliable partner for businesses and private clients.
Currently, Kapitalbank operates 95 branches and more than 1,150 ATMs across the country. In 2023, the bank launched new services for entrepreneurs, including the online bank Uzum Business, a single contact centre, and loans for the purchase of special equipment. The bank also expanded the list of online services available to individuals.
Kapitalbank now employs over 3,000 people and has launched its program for the professional growth of employees, as well as an internship program for students and young professionals.
