In a step towards enhancing global educational standards, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (Abai KazNPU) hosted a meeting with a delegation from Michigan State University, renowned for its excellence in training educators and educational leaders worldwide, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan reported.
The distinguished foreign delegation comprised Deputy Director for International Educational Research Julie Sinclair, Global Industry Engagement Consultant Shakil Malik, Director of the Department of International Professional Programs Xinyu Wu, Research Associate of the International Studies Department Aliya Bizhanova, and General Director of Global Nomad Education Almagul Kanagatova.
Representing the Kazakh side were Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Internationalization Aigul Iskakova, along with officials from the Department of International Cooperation and the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The meeting centered on addressing the challenges and trends in training teaching staff, particularly focusing on modern methodologies and approaches. Both universities showcased their respective projects aimed at enhancing teacher training, implementing innovative teaching and research techniques, and refining educational programs with a special emphasis on advanced training in areas such as inclusive education, action research, early childhood development, and leadership.
Aigul Iskakova underscored the significance of strategic collaboration with Michigan State University, especially in the realm of internationalization.
