In a step towards bolstering employment opportunities for the youth in Uzbekistan's thriving IT sector, discussions were held between Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yandex E-com and Ridetech, Government portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported. The meeting aimed to explore avenues of collaboration to enhance the development of high-paying jobs, particularly focusing on digital technologies.
Central to the talks were strategic directions for cooperation, emphasizing Yandex's role in advancing digital technologies within Uzbekistan. Proposals centered on the development of artificial intelligence, collaboration in e-government initiatives, and the enhancement of IT education.
Acknowledging the importance of empowering the youth, Minister Shermatov lauded the opportunities created for young people in Uzbekistan. Specifically, the "Zero Risk" project at IT Park garnered significant interest from Yandex's management, sparking a detailed discussion during the session.
Highlighting the demographic dividend of Uzbekistan's growing population, Minister Shermatov stressed the necessity of creating quality employment opportunities. With a surge in demand for IT product development and remote work, the meeting addressed strategies to attract young professionals to lucrative positions within the sector.
Concurrently, discussions revolved around providing comprehensive support to IT companies, including tax incentives, alongside a concerted focus on enhancing IT education to meet industry demands.

The Zero Risk program aims to improve the business climate in Uzbekistan, attract foreign investments, and stimulate export activities. The program is financed by the ICT Development Fund (FRICT) and IT Park, jointly providing financial support and privileges for participating companies.
