Air Astana expands fleet to 50 aircraft, targets 80 planes by 2028

    Enhanced economy class experience

The new aircraft introduces an expanded economy class, maintaining standard seat spacing to ensure passenger comfort. According to the airline, the innovative Airspace Cabin concept encompasses larger hand luggage shelves and decorative lighting, specially tailored for long-haul flights.

Ambitious fleet expansion targets by 2028

Air Astana, a leading airline in Central Asia, envisions bolstering its fleet to 80 aircraft by the close of 2028. This strategic expansion aligns with the airline's commitment to meeting growing demands and providing a diverse range of travel options for passengers.

IPO announcement marks milestone for Air Astana

Air Astana revealed the terms of accessing its shares on stock exchanges through an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The airline plans to list Global Depositary Receipt (GDR) and shares on exchanges in London, Astana, and Almaty.

"The GDR package will encompass 4 Air Astana shares, issued as part of the IPO," the company stated. This move not only signifies a significant step towards financial market participation but also opens avenues for investors to be part of Air Astana's promising future.

    Formal confirmation of IPO intentions

Following the initial announcement on January 12, 2024, Air Astana officially confirms its intention to conduct an IPO for its GDRs on the international market. The simultaneous offering of shares and GDRs in Kazakhstan adds another layer of depth to the strategic financial move.

"The final price, along with the maximum number of GDRs and shares, will be determined upon the completion of the book-building process for the IPO,"

     - Air Astana noted in an official statement. This meticulous approach ensures a transparent and well-informed market entry for the airline.
