In the period of January-October this year, the aggregate volume of services rendered by travel agencies, tour operators, and associated booking services in Uzbekistan reached a substantial $790.7bn (over $64mn), Statistics Agency reported.
This noteworthy figure reflects a significant uptick of 23.6% compared to the corresponding period in 2022, underlining the robust growth in the travel and tourism sector during this timeframe.
Examining regional contributions to this surge, Tashkent emerges as a prominent player, commanding a considerable 74.1% share in the overall volume of services provided by travel agencies, tour operators, and related booking services.
Earlier Daryo reported that a study conducted by Yandex.Travel, reveals Uzbekistan as one of the top three favored winter getaways for Russian travelers. The country ranks second in popularity, with airfare expenses around 31,000 rubles ($336.5, as per the Central Bank of the Russian Federation)
