The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is gearing up to introduce the Youth in Business program for the Central Asia region.
Scheduled to launch on December 12, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel, the event will see the active involvement of key figures, including EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia, Zsuzsanna Hargitay, Francis Malizh, Managing Director of EBRD's Financial Institutions Department, and Andi Aranitasi, EBRD Director for Uzbekistan.
The Youth in Business program is a groundbreaking initiative designed to bolster youth entrepreneurship in the Central Asia region. Officials from countries in the area, along with representatives from public and private financial institutions, will gather to witness the unveiling of this new program. The event will not only showcase the program's objectives but also reveal the participating banks and the allocated funds to support aspiring young entrepreneurs.

In a recent conversation of Daryo with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Andi Aranitasi, the recently appointed director for Uzbekistan, shared perspectives on the current transformations and advancements in the country. Aranitasi highlighted the forthcoming launch of the Central Asia Youth in Business program in December, emphasizing its focus on supporting businesses spearheaded by young entrepreneurs.
The Youth in Business program by the EBRD is presently operational in Egypt, Morocco, and the Western Balkans. This initiative receives backing from the European Union, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Italy through the Central European Initiative.
