The focal point of the discussions centered around the potential for joint investment ventures, particularly in the realms of green energy and the expansion of tourism infrastructure within Uzbekistan. The meeting showcased the commitment of both parties to foster economic growth, environmental sustainability, and the overall development of the nation.
AMEA Power, recognized as one of the fastest-growing renewable energy companies in the region, boasts an impressive clean energy pipeline exceeding 6GW across 20 countries. Established in 2016, the company has strategically assembled a team of global industry experts dedicated to executing projects in Africa, the Middle East, and various emerging markets.
With over 1,230MW of clean energy projects either operational or under construction in Burkina Faso, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Togo, AMEA Power has demonstrated its proficiency in driving tangible change. The company's commitment to the global energy transition is evident through its rapid expansion in wind, solar, energy storage, and green hydrogen projects.
Crucially, AMEA Power operates in close collaboration with global supply chains, financial institutions, and long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) commitments from electricity offtakers. This collaborative approach ensures the successful delivery of projects that contribute to the global shift towards sustainable energy sources.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his support for AMEA Power's plans to operate in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the potential for mutual benefit and the positive impact such collaboration could have on the nation's green energy initiatives and tourism sector.
