Kazakhstan's online temporary hiring service, EasyTap, is embarking on a strategic expansion into neighboring Central Asian countries, starting with Kyrgyzstan. Forbes.kz reports that the startup's co-founder, Magzum Tolesh, identified cultural and linguistic proximity, coupled with low startup costs, as key factors influencing the decision to enter the Kyrgyz market.
Tolesh explained,
"Everything was decided literally in my two trips to Bishkek. We managed to find the first partners, and the decision to exit was made."
The introduction of the EasyTap application in Kyrgyzstan has garnered positive responses. Despite relative unfamiliarity with the temporary work market, the platform has secured initial partnerships in critical sectors such as catering and retail.
Looking ahead, EasyTap's strategic vision prioritizes expanding its footprint across the Central Asian region. While focusing on business development in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the startup is gearing up to enter the Uzbek market, with considerations for expansion into Tajikistan.
The launch of EasyTap in Uzbekistan is anticipated in the first quarter of 2024. Tolesh affirmed,
"We already have the first agreements on the launch, so as soon as we deliver the processes in Kyrgyzstan, we will immediately begin the launch in Uzbekistan."
EasyTap, operational since November 2021, facilitates the recruitment of hourly workers in the retail and hospitality industries (HoReCa). The platform enables employers to find temporary or seasonal staff, while job seekers can secure part-time roles with flexible schedules and weekly payments.
