Acknowledging AD Ports Group's extensive expertise in the transport and logistics sector, the Head of State engaged in discussions with al-Shamisi to explore opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration in this vital area.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between domestic enterprise KazMunayGas and AD Ports Group, particularly in the transportation of Kazakh oil along the Middle Corridor to Azerbaijan.
The Kazakh leader also shared ambitious plans to unlock the immense potential of the North-South route, connecting Eurasia with the Gulf, Africa, and India. President Tokayev outlined his vision for a substantial increase in the route's capacity by at least 70%, aiming to elevate it from 9 to 15 mn tons of cargo by 2027.
President Tokayev expressed his contentment regarding the agreements established between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and AD Ports Group to form a joint venture. He conveyed his best wishes for the successful implementation of these projects, underscoring their significance in advancing Kazakhstan's strategic objectives in the realm of transportation and logistics.
