Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has called for the establishment of an international court to hold Israeli and American leaders accountable for their actions in the shelling of the Gaza Strip, during the Arab League summit in Riyad.
"It is necessary to establish an international court to prosecute and punish Zionist and American criminal leaders,"
President Raisi asserted, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the need for accountability on the global stage.
Raisi presented a comprehensive set of proposals in solidarity with Gaza. Alongside the call for an international court, he emphasized the creation of a dedicated fund for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, addressing the urgent need for rebuilding efforts in the war-torn region.
Iran's diplomatic initiatives extend beyond the Arab League summit. On November 6, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the United Nations (UN) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to take decisive measures for the denuclearization of Israel. This appeal was prompted by statements from Israel's Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, Amihai Eliyahu, who suggested the possibility of using nuclear weapons in the Gaza Strip. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dismissed these remarks as inaccurate.
