    Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlights the vital role of independence across all spheres

    On October 25, during a meeting in Karshi, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan underlined the pivotal role of independence in every facet of the nation's development.

    In a world marked by diminishing trust and escalating global competition, President Mirziyoyev asserted that the fate of Uzbekistan hinges on setting ambitious objectives for its future. He emphasized the necessity of nurturing a forward-looking approach while acknowledging the nation's historical roots. 

    We must unite as one family and one society to shape a transformative future for our cherished homeland, Uzbekistan.

    The president acknowledged the country's current policy of openness and recognized the formidable challenge of establishing a cohesive national approach. He elucidated his commitment to bolstering independence across all sectors, highlighting the correlation between increased autonomy and a robust economy. President Mirziyoyev emphasized:

    The more independent we become, the more influential we will be on the global stage, thanks to our diligent efforts.

    Furthermore, President Mirziyoyev stressed the pivotal role of education in propelling Uzbekistan's development to new heights. The president shared a poignant aspiration, stating,

    We must labour diligently to secure peace for our families and ensure stability until our youngest grandchildren reach our age.

    President Mirziyoyev conveyed a profound insight that echoed throughout his address: 

    The destiny of peace and tranquillity is not safeguarded through defence alone but through the virtues of intelligence and knowledge.
