In Stockholm, the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden, Nodir Ganiev, has assumed his duties. Previously, he served as the Charge d'Affaires of Uzbekistan in Sweden. Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission in Stockholm was established in 2022, becoming the 36th embassy of the country abroad, Dunyo reported.
Nodir Ganiev, 52 years old, holds a degree in philology and oriental studies from Tashkent State University. He has been working within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1994, holding various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic missions abroad. Before his appointment to Sweden, he served as the Head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
