Mongolia has earned the distinction of being the most captivating country for tourists in 2024, as per this international ranking. According to the creators of this list, Mongolia is the perfect destination for those who seek vast landscapes, adventurous experiences, and cultural immersion. Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is highlighted for its numerous unique attractions.

India claims the second spot on the list, while Saint Lucia, the island nation, secures the third position. The top ten also feature countries such as Mexico, Morocco, Chile, Benin, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Croatia.

Regarding the best cities for tourism, experts have spotlighted Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, as well as cities like Paris, Montreal (Canada), and Mostar (Bosnia) – all of which are gearing up for the 2024 Olympics.

Lonely Planet has suggested the TransDinarica bike trail in the Western Balkans, scheduled to open in 2024, and Kangaroo Island in South Australia as top-rated tourist routes. They have also emphasized eco-friendly routes in Wales and the northern regions of Scotland.

In recent developments, it has been reported that 2.1 million tourists explored Uzbekistan on foot. Additionally, there have been instances of tourists, including a Dutch traveler on the "Afrosiyob" train and a Turkish tourist on the Tashkent-Andijan train, who exchanged seats for a bribe.

Earlier, Daryo reported that the UNWTO International Academy of Tourism was inaugurated during the 25th session of the UN General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in Samarkand on October 20. The Academy's curriculum is influenced by Swiss hospitality schools, offering training led by foreign consultants. Graduates will receive internationally recognized certificates and have opportunities for practical experience through private sector internships.

The UNWTO's involvement includes constructing a global best practice-based training model, adapting programs to local needs, mentor training, institutional development, performance assessment, consulting services, and international program certification.
