In a significant step towards strengthening international partnerships and driving economic growth, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Wang Bo, Chairman of the influential Chinese corporation "China CAMC Engineering" (CAMCE), in Beijing on October 18. The meeting emphasized the strategic importance of expanding cooperation between the two nations, focusing on a range of joint projects and investments.
CAMCE, a prominent Chinese corporation specializing in engineering services and executing large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects, has played a pivotal role in the economic development of Uzbekistan in recent years. Their extensive experience and involvement in numerous sectors have laid the groundwork for enhanced collaboration.
One of the key projects that highlight the mutual cooperation is the construction of the Olympic town, in preparation for the Asian Youth Games scheduled to be hosted by Uzbekistan in 2025. CAMCE's active role in this project underscores its commitment to supporting Uzbekistan's sporting and infrastructural development.
During the meeting between President Mirziyoyev and Chairman Wang Bo, discussions revolved around various aspects of expanding joint projects, including the development of hydrotechnical structures in Uzbekistan's regions, as well as modernizing the infrastructure of New Tashkent. Moreover, the introduction of advanced agro-technologies is poised to enhance the agricultural sector in the country.
Acknowledging the importance of these collaborations, President Mirziyoyev instructed the formulation of a dedicated "roadmap" designed to expedite the execution of joint projects and ensure the realization of agreements made during the meeting. This roadmap is expected to streamline the partnership between Uzbekistan and CAMCE, making it more efficient and productive.
