Delegations from various countries participating in the Third International Forum "One Home, One Road" at Beijing's People's Hall were formally welcomed in a ceremony. This was reported by the presidential press service.
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and China's President Xi Jinping extended cordial greetings. Also in attendance were Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Pakistan's Acting Prime Minister Anvar ul-Haq Kakar, Turkmenistan's Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, along with leaders of various other countries and governments. A group photo marked this gathering.
A concert program was presented to entertain the guests, and the primary forum events will unfold on October 18.
Earlier, Daryo reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed Van Venin, Chairman of the "Amer International" industrial holding, during a visit to Beijing. "Amer International," a prominent Chinese conglomerate with diverse interests, including high-tech ventures and mining, is part of the Fortune 500.
Venin praised Uzbekistan's reform program, highlighting its business-friendly environment for foreign companies, particularly those from China. The meeting focused on potential projects in deep copper processing, electric vehicle batteries, microelectronics, semiconductors, and sustainable energy solutions. An agreement was made for "Amer International" to participate in Uzbekistan's Council of Foreign Investors. Discussions also revolved around establishing a regional office in Uzbekistan and fostering innovative projects. This meeting strengthens economic ties between Uzbekistan and China, promising growth and technological advancement in the region.
