Air Marakanda, a leading Uzbek airline, has initiated a significant partnership with China Southern Airlines. This collaboration introduces a direct flight route from China to Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The partnership's inauguration featured a cultural touch, with a tea ceremony and an exhibition area displaying Chinese calligraphy on Samarkand mulberry paper. It symbolized the shared cultural ties between the two nations. Upon arrival in Samarkand, a customary water arch welcomed the plane, followed by a reception with Uzbek national instruments.
This collaboration facilitates travel to Urumqi, the political and economic center of China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Flights depart from Samarkand at 01:30 every Monday and return from Urumqi International Airport at 23:20 every Sunday. Passengers can choose from business and economy classes on modern Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
This partnership improves travel and cultural exchange, offering Chinese travelers access to the historical city of Samarkand. It underscores Air Marakanda's commitment to expanding global connectivity for passengers.
