A working group led by A. Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, conducted an in-depth assessment of anti-corruption efforts in the Navoi region. As part of their fact-finding mission, the group explored the operations of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company, including a visit to one of the world's largest gold mines, the Muruntau mine, and Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 2.
The working group, under the guidance of Director A. Burkhanov, received comprehensive briefings on the gold mining processes at the Muruntau mine and the functioning of the Unified Situational Production Control Center at the Central Mining Administration, situated within HMP-2. This control center plays a pivotal role in overseeing, analyzing, and managing geological exploration, ore extraction, transportation, and processing activities at hydrometallurgical plants.
One noteworthy observation made by the working group was the high degree of digitalization evident in the production processes of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company. The company has embraced modern information technologies, integrating them extensively into its operations.
