The Asian Games in Hangzhou witnessed remarkable sports victories, with Uzbekistan's team securing 71 medals, including 22 gold, 18 silver, and 31 bronze medals. This achievement places Uzbekistan among the top 5 Asian countries and regions, as highlighted by the publication.
According to Global Times, in recent years, Uzbekistan has enhanced its image as a country with outstanding athletes in chess, boxing, judo, weightlifting, and more. The Asian Games in Hangzhou showcased emerging stars in Uzbek sports in disciplines such as boxing, taekwondo, athletics, fencing, rowing, and others.
Observers noted that this success is a result of the country's sports development. Uzbekistan has established an effective system for training professional athletes, coaches, medical personnel, and referees, which promotes a healthy lifestyle, fosters well-rounded youth, and contributes to the further development of physical culture and sports.
