The Central Asian countries are striving to increase the utilization of their respective currencies in settlements. This was revealed by Tajikistan's Foreign Minister, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
The leaders of the Central Asian nations issued a joint statement at the Consultative Meeting held in Dushanbe, emphasizing the importance of strengthening trade and economic collaboration and creating favorable conditions for investment and trade.
Besides, the leaders stressed the significance of transitioning regional trade transactions to national currencies.
The possibility of establishing cooperation to gradually increase the share of national currencies in mutual settlements between the states of the region will be considered,''
Foreign Minister Muhriddin said.
The presidents plan to collaborate in Central Asia's industries and transit potential. Following the meeting, the four documents were signed in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe.
Tajikistan's Foreign Minister stated that the agreement to improve land transport connectivity in Central Asia would create a more competitive market for transport services in the region.
On 14 September, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia. The President proposed the creation of a full-fledged free-trade zone without exceptions or restrictions.
