Official events, including a concert and an exhibition showcasing industrial products from the region's countries, were part of the Consultative meeting of Central Asian leaders held in Dushanbe.
The meeting included the participation of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, and the guest of honor, Ilhom Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, along with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the national leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan.
During the ceremony, they were awarded the badge of honor of the Central Asian leaders, which was established in 2021 to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to regional cooperation.
Following the award ceremony, the leaders attended the "Friendship Evening" concert program at the "Kohi Borbad" Palace, featuring performances by artists from the participating countries, showcasing national songs, dances, and cultural expressions that highlighted the unity and cultural bonds among the peoples.
The program continued with a visit to the "EXPO Central Asia 2023" exhibition, where the presidents were introduced to a wide range of products manufactured in the region. The exhibition featured a "Made in Uzbekistan" section, which highlighted Uzbekistan's potential in various industries such as jewelry, textiles, leather and footwear, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, construction materials, information technology, agriculture, and tourism.
Additionally, products from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan were also on display, covering an extensive area of over 1800 square meters.
The meeting concluded with the heads of state assigning specific tasks to officials aimed at increasing mutual trade volume and expanding industrial cooperation among the countries in the region.
