Kazakhstan's Ministry of Health has announced that the first-ever Central Asian Cancer Week conference will take place in Astana from September 6-8, media reports.
The event will provide the opportunity for leading specialists from Central Asia, as well as nearby and faraway countries, to exchange experiences on current surgical issues.
Satellite symposiums, poster presentations, and discussions will also be held to promote and introduce international oncology practices to Kazakhstan.
Participants from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, the USA, and the Republic of Korea are expected to attend the conference, which will cover healthcare organization and medical law, radiation oncology, and nuclear medicine, personalized drug therapy approaches, palliative and supportive care for cancer patients, intensive and nociceptive therapy, surgical approaches to treat neoplasms (breast cancer, oncogynecology, oncosurgery, oncourology, oncogepathology), and nursing in oncology.
The National Cancer Research Center and the NGO "Society of Oncologists-Surgeons" are jointly organizing a hybrid conference with the support of health authorities in Kazakhstan. Attendees have the option to participate either in-person or virtually. The event will be broadcasted in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
An exhibition of medical equipment, medicines, and products will be open throughout the conference.
