A group of surgeons from Aakash Healthcare in India are performing an innovative surgical camp at their branch in Tashkent, featuring over 30 operations, including the first-ever bilateral hip replacement surgery in Uzbekistan.
The hospital underwent consistent efforts to modernize its equipment, including the lighting of operating rooms, sterilization systems, implants, and critical medicines.
The clinic, known for its commitment to providing world-class tertiary (highly specialized) medical care, became the first Indian hospital to modernize its operating rooms and install advanced surgical equipment in a foreign country. This broke the norm of Indian specialists using local remedies for surgeries.
Preparation for these complex operations lasted for 7 to 8 months.
"They open a new stage in the history of Uzbekistan's healthcare,"
said Dr. Aashish Chaudhry.
Aakash Healthcare plans to build a modern medical campus in Tashkent, including a hospital with advanced infrastructure and equipment staffed by qualified doctors and nurses and an educational institution for nursing training.
