The representatives of Uzbekistan's Embassy, the administration of the Samarkand region, and the India-based "Stemz Healthcare Pvt Ltd" held a virtual meeting to discuss a joint project to establish a state-of-the-art cancer center in Samarkand.
Rustam Kobilov, Deputy Mayor of the Samarkand region, highlighted the favorable conditions for international cooperation in various fields, including medicine, in Uzbekistan. He emphasized the potential of healthcare institutions and specialists in the historic city of Samarkand.
Stemz Healthcare Pvt Ltd's Managing Director, Raman Sodhi, expressed interest in collaborating with medical institutions in Uzbekistan.
Besides, the two sides discussed organizational aspects and prospects for a joint clinic, which would be equipped with modern technologies and staffed by highly qualified specialists.
Structural work would also be launched to improve the skills of Uzbek medical workers.
The parties agreed to organize a delegation visit to Samarkand from the Indian company shortly.
The multidisciplinary Uzbek-Indian medical center, "Zarmed Pratiksha Hospital Group," already operates in Samarkand.
