Uzbekistan Airways August 13 transported the thirteenth batch of humanitarian aid from Sharm-el-Sheikh to Tashkent.
The Egyptian government had allocated 80 boxes of 1,280 anti-hepatitis C medications.
After treatment by the Virology Research Institute under the Ministry of Health, these medications will be distributed to patients.
Egypt has successfully fought against hepatitis B and C viruses and is willing to share its diagnostic devices and experience with Uzbekistan.
According to Egypt's diplomatic office, Uzbekistan's Minister of Health, Amrillo Inoyatov, will participate in the "Global Congress on Population, Health and Development" in Cairo from September 5-8. The visit will focus on expanding non-profit aid.
