The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China, aimed at expanding cooperation between the postal services of the two nations. The accord is expected to foster cross-border electronic commerce and enhance the efficiency of expedited mail processes, ultimately facilitating smoother border controls for international mail and the transportation of goods in international electronic commerce as per to the Kyrgyz Republic's Ministry of Economy's press service.
The agreement was formally established following negotiations between Akylbek Zhaparov, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Ma Xingrui, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Party of the XUAR of China.
Central to the agreement is the development of cross-border electronic commerce, which has seen rapid growth due to the surge in online transactions. The expansion aims to facilitate the smooth movement of goods across borders, reducing delays and simplifying border control procedures.
