The Cabinet of Ministers has passed a resolution to amend and add to the Regulations on the procedure for determining the level of knowledge of the state language when obtaining Uzbekistan citizenship. These changes now allow foreigners and stateless persons to apply for language proficiency assessment through public service centers or the Single portal of interactive public services.
Applicants who disagree with the decision of the regional examination commission can now appeal through the centers of public services or the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services within five working days from the date of the announcement of the exam results.
An appeal examination will be held within ten days from the announcement of the exam results, and the appeal commission may decide to abandon the appeal, change the results, or cancel and appoint a repeat exam.
If an individual is not satisfied with the decision of the appeal commission, they may appeal in court.
