The Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Network, operating under the MIIT, has joined hands with the U.S. to execute the transformative "Medication Quality Plus" initiative, referred to as the "PQM+" program, Uzpharm agency reported on August 11.
Under the umbrella of this program, a comprehensive strategy is set to be formulated for the advancement of Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical sector. A key component of the initiative is to provide technical support for the formulation of this strategy and the undertaking of situational analysis. A significant milestone in this endeavour was marked by a meeting that brought together experts affiliated with the "PQM+" program. Experts are crucial in shaping pharmaceutical manufacturing strategy, focusing on localising products, efficient imports, and boosting exports to enhance Uzbekistan's industry.
The ultimate goal of the "PQM+" program is to usher in a new era of robust and self-sufficient pharmaceutical production within the country's borders. The collaboration with USAID signifies a powerful international partnership aimed at driving sustainable growth and innovation in Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical landscape.
