In solidarity and humanitarian aid, Poland's government has sent a package worth PLN 17.5mn (equivalent to $4.5mn) to Uzbekistan, comprising over 400 ventilators as 'crucial medical resources during the global health crisis', media reports.
The aid delivery on July 20 included four different types of Bellavista ventilators suitable for adults and children.
The equipment has been designated for distribution in the Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions, highlighting the strategic focus to provide support where needed most.
On the day of delivery, a convoy of three trucks carrying 449 ventilators was dispatched to Uzbekistan.
The aid package is expected to enhance Uzbekistan's health infrastructure and increase its ability to respond effectively to current challenges.
Earlier, Daryo reported that Uzbekistan has obtained its eleventh batch of anti-hepatitis C medication from Egypt. Uzbekistan Airways transported the medicines from Sharm el-Sheikh to Tashkent.
