Recently, representatives from Tashkent Medical Academy and the Uzbekistan Embassy in Seoul met with officials from the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Korean International Health Foundation (KOFIH), and the management of Seiyon Prime clinic to discuss collaborative efforts in the field of medicine between the two countries, Dunyo reports.
The discussions centered around modernizing the National Children's Medical Center, expediting the construction of the Medical Center for Adults, and providing training to Uzbek medical staff by inviting them to clinics in South Korea.
The parties also explored the possibility of exchange programs in various fields and scheduled a Health Care Uzbekistan-South Korea forum in Tashkent in October. The event will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, specialized scientific and practical medical centers, medical universities, heads of the Korean health sector, private medical institutions, and pharmaceutical enterprises.
Following the meeting, the Tashkent Medical Academy and Yonsei Prime Clinic inked a memorandum of cooperation.
