President Mirziyoyev connects with Tashkent residents, tackles key issues

President Mirziyoyev connects with Tashkent residents, tackles key issues

In a heartwarming and candid visit to the "Khastimom" neighborhood of Almazor district in Tashkent city, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev spent time with the residents, engaging in sincere conversations and addressing their concerns. The visit took place on July 21 and left a lasting impact on the local community, fostering a festive mood and raising spirits. Daryo's correspondent engaged with those who spoke with president Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During his visit, president Mirziyoyev made it a point to talk to each resident personally, getting to know them in their own language. His warmth and humor made the interactions feel like conversations with ordinary people, not just a head of state. One particular anecdote caught the attention of the residents, where the president humorously remarked, "You can't get a girl or a bride in these crazy streets," prompting laughter and endearing himself to the locals.

Shahida Nishonova, one of the fortunate individuals who had the opportunity to speak with president Mirziyoyev, recalled the simplicity, sincerity, and patience of the old city's residents during their conversation. She highlighted the lack of a proper sewage system and the difficult living conditions faced by many families with multiple daughters-in-law. The president assured them that measures would be taken to create better living conditions, especially for young people, enabling them to live separately.

The visit left a lasting impact on the neighborhood, with residents expressing their joy and gratitude for the president's attention to their problems. Saidmahmudov, the father of one of the residents who met with president Mirziyoyev, praised the leader's genuine approach and remarked that such interactions with the people set a positive example for other leaders.

“When the president came to our neighborhood, he emphasized that first of all, don't praise me, tell the truth about everything. That's why we spoke openly about everything. The conversation was very sincere and full of laughter,” Saidmahmudov shared.

Residents of the Khastimom neighborhood raised concerns about narrow streets and overcrowded living conditions, with multiple families residing in small houses. In response, the president proposed demolishing and renovating houses in narrow areas, while ensuring that those who wish to keep their homes would be allowed to do so.

Sanoat Yahyoyeva, the head of the "Hastimom" community meeting, also had a sincere conversation with the president, reminiscing about how she witnessed his enthusiasm and dedication firsthand when he was the Prime Minister. She praised his contributions to the construction of the "Hastimom" complex and the overall beautification of the area.

“When our president was the Prime Minister, he personally participated in the construction of the Khastimom complex. At that time, I was working as a secretary in the neighborhood office. I said that I learned Shavkat Mirziyoyev's good qualities by seeing his enthusiasm, working day and night,” says Sanoat.

The visit to the "Khastimom" neighborhood aligns with the ongoing "Prosperous Neighborhood" and "Prosperous Village" programs implemented throughout Uzbekistan. These programs aim to improve infrastructure, repair roads, and engineering networks, and enhance living conditions for residents across the country. With more than 1,500 people residing in Khastimom, the president's commitment to the "Abod Khonadon" program signifies a promising future for the neighborhood.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the "Khastimom" neighborhood of Tashkent demonstrates his dedication to engaging with citizens on a personal level and addressing their needs directly. The president's sincerity and genuine concern for the welfare of the people have left a positive impact on the community, fostering hope and optimism for a better future.
