In a heartfelt courtroom exchange, renowned American lawyer and judge, Frank Caprio, known for his pursuit of justice, questioned Muhammadodilbek Obidjonov, an Uzbekistan student, about an alleged traffic violation. The video of the interaction was posted on the "Caught In Providence" Facebook channel and has garnered attention worldwide.
The incident involved Muhammadodilbek being accused of obstructing traffic, leading to a $35 fine. However, the young student offered a sincere explanation for the situation, stating that the apartment management had instructed him to park his car in the area in question. He believed there would be no issue, especially since other vehicles were routinely parked there without any repercussions.
“Before I moved to this apartment, the management told me to 'park' my car there, (and) there would be no problem…I was the only car owner who got a ticket, and the other two cars didn't, " he explained.
During the course of the conversation, Judge Caprio acknowledged his difficulty in pronouncing Muhammadodilbek's name and politely inquired about his origins. The student revealed that he had arrived in the USA in 2022 to pursue a master's degree in business management with a specialization in sports management at Johnson and Wales University.
As the discussion unfolded, Judge Caprio's curiosity extended beyond the matter at hand, and he asked Muhammadodilbek about his aspirations and plans for the future. The ambitious student expressed his desire to utilize his background as a former professional football player by opening his own agency. He aimed to provide assistance to players with financial calculations and other essential tasks.
“I have several plans. I used to be a professional football player. That's why I want to open my own agency. It will help the players with calculations and other tasks," Muhammadodilbek stated.
When asked about the differences between his home country and the USA, Muhammadodilbek revealed that he had spent a significant portion of his life outside Uzbekistan. After completing his bachelor's degree in Europe, he pursued a football career in Russia. Hence, his knowledge and experiences of Uzbekistan were limited.
Curiosity led Judge Caprio to inquire about the student's English language proficiency. Muhammadodilbek disclosed that he acquired his English language skills during his high school years in Russia, making him fluent in the language.
Frank Caprio's reputation as the fairest judge in the world precedes him, and his courtroom sessions have become a source of inspiration for millions worldwide.
