"Measures to enhance the effectiveness of youth military-patriotic education" have been addressed in Resolution No. 267, dated June 29, 2023, by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Norma.uz has reported.
The approved document includes the Concept for improving the efficiency of youth military-patriotic education for the period of 2023-2027. It outlines a five-stage plan based on different age groups:
- Stage I: Ages 3-7
- Stage II: Ages 7-10
- Stage III: Ages 11-17
- Stage IV: Ages 18-21
- Stage V: Ages 22-30
To promote military-patriotic education among young people, various competitions, exhibitions, and meetings with representatives of responsible organizations and agencies will be organized.
In addition, the following provisions have been made:
- Formation of regional coordination headquarters to oversee military-patriotic education activities for youth.
- Servicemen will engage in enlightening activities within local communities.
- The effectiveness of the "Oporniki Rodiny" youth movement, as well as the Union of Youth in military units and institutions, will be enhanced.
- "A Day in the Military Unit" events will be conducted for unorganized youth who are inclined towards committing offenses.
- "Open House" days will be held at "Vatanparvar" organizations.
- Screening of documentary and fictional films that promote a healthy lifestyle, combat foreign ideologies, and criminality, among other themes.
The document also includes the approval of a "Roadmap" consisting of 36 activities across six main directions to implement the concept.
This resolution has been published in the National Legislation Database and came into effect on July 3, 2023.
