The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kyrgyzstan has declared the diplomas of two members of the Jogorku Kenesh, Farkhat Ismailov and Farkhodbek Alimzhanov, to be fake and has cancelled their registration as parliamentarians. The decision was announced by the press service of the CEC of Kyrgyzstan.
This conclusion was reached by the commission after receiving information from the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan regarding the authenticity of their university diplomas. It was found that Alimzhanov's diploma was issued with serious violations, as he had not taken the state exams due to being outside the country. Farkhodbek Alimzhanov was a candidate for parliament from the "Alliance" party.
Additionally, the CEC declared the higher education document of Farkhat Ismailov, representing the "Ata-Jurt Kyrgyzstan" faction, invalid and revoked his parliamentary mandate.
The ministerial commission found that Farkhat Ismailov was not on the list of students at the Kyrgyz National University during the specified years. The obtained diploma was determined to be fraudulent, including the master's degree in law with a specialisation in "Accounting and Audit."
Commission's findings from the Ministry of Education and Science shows that Ismailov was not listed as a student at Kyrgyz National University during the indicated years. His diploma in "Accounting and Audit" was deemed invalid, as well as the subsequent master's degree in law.
