A car crashed into a popular lakeside restaurant on July 2, causing multiple injuries to patrons. The incident occurred at the Looney Bin Bar & Grill, a bustling establishment in the town of Laconia.
Emergency officials responded to the scene shortly after 12:40 p.m. and were met with a startling sight as they found a car lodged inside the restaurant. The Laconia Fire Department swiftly took control of the situation and initiated rescue and medical operations.
The fire department stated that 14 individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, although some suffered significant lower leg injuries, lacerations, and contusions. The quick response of emergency responders played a crucial role in stabilizing the situation and providing immediate medical attention to the injured.
In addition to the hospitalized victims, approximately 20 other patrons were evaluated at the scene by emergency personnel. Fortunately, their injuries did not require further medical intervention, and they were able to avoid hospitalization.
The community of Laconia, located about 27 miles north of Concord, came together to support those affected by the incident, offering comfort and assistance during this challenging time.
The restaurant commented on the incident and shared its gratitude towards the community.
