Young dancers from the Nomad of Kazakh Academy of Choreography captivated audiences at the 37th World Folklore Dance Festival in Saint-Ghislain, Belgium. The Kazinform reported on June 28 that the talented performers showcased their dance piece titled "Legend of the Kazakh Steppe."
Ainagul Nurgazina, the head of the academy, explained that the choreographic performance was dedicated to the theme of love and its power to bring people together. The dance portrayed the combination of strength and tenderness embodied by Kazakh girls, as well as their unwavering commitment to preserving the traditions and hospitality of the Kazakh people.
The costumes worn by the young Kazakh dancers were hailed as one of the highlights of their performance. Nurgazina expressed that the outfits were truly remarkable, featuring a blend of vibrant colors and innovative designs that left viewers amazed and captivated.
“One of the brightest elements of the performance is the costumes, which amaze with their originality and novelty. They create an incredible combination of colors and designs that will not leave viewers indifferent,” Nurgazina states.
Denis Bernard, one of the festival organizers, praised the participation of Kazakhstan in the event and commended the warm reception received from the local audience. He also expressed his hope for further cultural exchanges and collaborations with Kazakh groups in the future.
This year's World Folklore Dance Festival attracted over 300 artists, including the talented young Kazakh dancers, as well as 3,000 children participants from various countries. The festival proved to be a remarkable platform for cultural exchange, drawing in an impressive crowd of approximately 15,000 spectators from around the world.
