On June 27, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan (CEC) took place in Tashkent to discuss the preparations for the upcoming early presidential elections, Dunyo reports.
During the meeting, the commission members addressed the accreditation of international and foreign observers, as well as representatives of the media.
According to the presentation, a total of 33 observers from the CIS, SCO, and foreign countries have been accredited.
Based on the requests received by the CEC, 102 representatives have been accredited, including 48 from local media and 54 from foreign media. Currently, the total number of accredited representatives from local and foreign media stands at 1,257 individuals.
Among the accredited representatives, there are 1,161 individuals from 40 television channels, 103 from print media, 28 from online publications, and 3 from news agencies.
As of June 27, 98 representatives from 68 foreign media outlets have been accredited.
