The Uzbek Embassy in Egypt held a prestigious ceremony to award the national prize "Oltin Kalam" (Golden Pen) for the second-place winner in the international competition recognizing the "Best Material by a Foreign Journalist about Uzbekistan." The esteemed award was presented to Ahmad Tarabek, a prominent political observer and leading expert on Asian countries in Egyptian media outlets like "Al-Diplomasiy," "Eurasia Dairy," and "Al-Muwatin," Dunyo reports.
Ambassador Mansur Bek Klichev personally bestowed the award to Ahmad Tarabek at the embassy.
Expressing his gratitude, Tarabek acknowledged Uzbekistan's recognition of his outstanding journalistic work. He disclosed that he is currently working on a book titled "The History of Uzbeks in Egypt," intending to publish it using the prize money from the competition. His plan is to subsequently distribute copies of the book to Egyptian universities and libraries as a valuable contribution.
In addition to the award ceremony, the participants were briefed on significant political events in Uzbekistan, including the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for July 9, and provided with insights into the essence and content of the updated Constitution.
