During a meeting with voters in Jizzakh, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced plans to establish "Libraries under the open sky" in popular tourist destinations such as Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva, Termez, Shakhrisabz, and Kokand, as well as in central parks of cities and districts.
As an incentive for those who voluntarily construct libraries, thousands of Uzbek and world literature masterpieces will be provided. The state will equip these libraries with computers and connect them to the National Library's database.
The reason for their creation being the increasing number of young people applying for grants to the world's "Top-100" universities. He emphasized the importance of supporting these talented individuals, referring to them as the "Golden Fund" of the country.
To facilitate their education, funds from the "El-Yurt Umid" fund will also be allocated to them without the need for additional examinations.
Additionally, students who receive grants from the "Top-500" universities will have their airfare and accommodation expenses fully reimbursed. An annual allocation of $200mn has been dedicated to these purposes.
