During a meeting with Jizzakh voters, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the presidential candidate, emphasized the importance of stable electricity for industrial development. To achieve this, he announced plans to launch solar plants in Farish and Gallaarol, with a combined capacity of 750 megawatts, through partnerships with companies from China and the United Arab Emirates.
Furthermore, a modern steam-gas plant with a capacity of 450 megawatts will be constructed in the Sharof Rashidov district, funded by a direct investment of $350mn from a Turkish company.
In addition to these energy projects, Mirziyoyev highlighted the need to upgrade electrical networks and transformers, with a focus on renewing 4.5 thousand kilometers of electrical networks and over 1,100 transformers.
The candidate also discussed the establishment of "Youth Socio-Economic Centers" in each region, covering an area of at least 100 hectares. These centers will serve as a platform for young people to develop projects and will be granted the status of a free economic zone.
Project offices within the centers will assist youth in transforming their ideas into viable businesses. Moreover, industrial zones and co-working spaces will be available for startup projects within the center.
Additionally, Mirziyoyev announced that 210 youth industrial and entrepreneurship zones in the districts will be designated as branches of the centers, where dedicated "project groups" will operate.
