Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Malaysia, Ravshan Usmanov, held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Investments, Trade, and Industry, Liu Ching Tong, Dunyo reports.
The Malaysian side was informed about Uzbekistan's development strategy and reforms aimed at supporting the national economy and private business.
Liu Ching Tong acknowledged the significance of Uzbekistan as an economic partner in Central Asia, and the discussions focused on mutual cooperation in various sectors, including transportation and commodity exchanges.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Malaysia, Ravshan Usmanov, discussed the country's development strategy and ongoing reforms with Deputy Minister of Investments, Trade, and Industry, Liu Ching Tong. The discussions revolved around mutual cooperation in sectors such as transportation and commodity exchanges.
The talks addressed the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations, as well as their development and enhancement. Special attention was given to the plans for the 3rd session of the Joint Trade Committee between Uzbekistan and Malaysia, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur.
A list of joint investment projects and agreements was presented to the Malaysian side for consideration at the event. Liu Ching Tong expressed confidence that this event would elevate the economic relations between the two countries to a new level.
Furthermore, there was an exchange of views on the work carried out by the Malaysian working group on Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization.
