The inheritance dispute between Tatyana Karimova and Pyotr Karimov has been postponed by the Yakkasaroy Inter-District Court. Pyotr Karimov sued Tatyana Karimova over the late president's estate.
Tatyana Karimova filed a request with the Yakkasaray Inter District Court for Civil Affairs today, June 26, to hear the case in closed session.
"The court accepted the request. The hearing in the court case has been rescheduled for another day," the Supreme Court stated.
On June 24, Daryo talked to the lawyer, Bakhodir Akhmedov and discussed the court matter between Pyotr Karimov and Tatyana Karimova over succession.
The legislation states that if there is information related to state secrets and other secrets protected by law in a civil case, as well as in a case arising from administrative legal relations, or if the civil case must be heard in a closed court session, the court will consider the civil case in a closed court session.
The court has the authority to evaluate a civil case, as well as a case resulting from administrative legal relations, in a closed court session at the request of a participant in the proceedings, in order to guarantee the privacy or secrecy of information protected by law.
In this case, the request for the trial to be held in a closed court session is made not only by the petitioner and (or) his representative, but also by persons authorised to protect the rights and legal interests of individuals (for example, a prosecutor, guardianship and patronage body, etc.).
