On June 19, Presidential candidate Robakhon Mahmudova stated that it is necessary for deputies to spend half of their working time with their constituents during a meeting with voters in Karakalpakstan in the city of Nukus.
During the meeting, the representative of the presidential candidate opened the discussion by providing detailed information about the candidate's biography and work experience. Robakhon Mahmudova emphasized the importance of implementing the following measures in order to further develop parliamentary democracy and parliamentary system:
- Enacting laws through mechanisms that work effectively, including strengthening the functions of parliamentary committees.
- Ensuring the independence of business entities involved in parliamentary activities and demanding accountability from executive bodies regarding issues related to them.
- Establishing a clear system that indicates deputies must spend a significant portion of their working time with their constituents, working together with the population.
- Prohibiting the chairman and deputy chairman of parliamentary committees from being from the same party.
As per the program, the goals and objectives outlined align with the strategic objectives of the "Adolat" Social Democratic Party, aiming to ensure justice in all aspects of state and society and to uphold the principles of justice in all spheres of public life.
