The Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent witnessed the apprehension of individuals engaged in the sale of a gold coin from 1902, the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office reports on the incident.
Through a joint effort between the Yakkasaroy district department and the State Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Tashkent, citizen A.T. and others were apprehended while attempting to sell a Nicholas II gold coin weighing 32.22 grams for $100,000.
Cultural Heritage Agency assesses the current value of the coin as equal to $87,046.
Consequently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 177 of the Criminal Code, addressing the illegal acquisition or transfer of currency values. The investigation is currently underway.
