Uzbekistan has announced a visa-free regime for Qatari citizens, as per presidential decree.
Under this decree, Qatari citizens can enjoy a visa-free stay in Uzbekistan for up to 30 days from their date of entry. Previously, the limit was only 10 days.
The introduction of this visa-free policy comes ahead of the state visit of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
President Mirziyoyev traveled to Samarkand to participate in the Uzbekistan-Qatar summit, where the two countries discussed various matters of mutual interest.
