During a visit to Tajikistan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that Washington is planning to back ISIS, al-Qaeda, and other related terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan. He suggested that the US aims to maintain instability in the region.
In his words, "The United States actively supports the ISIS surviving in Afghanistan, al-Qaeda and other terrorist structures affiliated with them. The goal is simple - not to allow Afghanistan to calm down. Make "muddy water", then "catch fish" here, "get in" here and again continue to prevent the countries of the region from living their own way," the Russian Foreign Minister said during his visit.
